I have a WordPress site with another host, can you transfer it over?
Yes, once you've purchased your chosen hosting package - simply raise a migration support ticket within our client area and send over your old hosting account logins through the secure area. We will migrate your Wordpress site as is and transfer everything without causing any downtime and is usually done within 24 hours (usually much sooner!).

What is Cloud VPS Hosting?
A Virtual Private Server is a server divided into fully separate hosting environments. When you have VPS hosting, one of those environments is completely dedicated to you. That means you don't have to share resources (such as RAM or CPU) with other customers and you're less likely to be impacted by their behavior.
What can I expect to pay?
There are absolutely no hidden fees or overage charges. You will only ever pay us your recurring subscription fee once you have signed up.

What type of access do I have to my server?
You have unrestricted root-level access to your server. You can manage your server via the command line using an SSH client such as PuTTY.

No, there are no contracts, and all services are paid month per month basis.

What is a dedicated server and what are it's benefits?
A dedicated server, essentially means that the server is dedicated to a single business customer, dedicated entirely to your website and its needs. All of the resources are yours alone and you won't be sharing them with other clients. This leads to increased speed, security and reliability.
We manage every aspect of our dedicated Servers with Hostgee, which means we manage and monitor the server 24/7. This comprises multiple service checks every minute as well as automated backups taken twice daily and retained for 30 days. We also update your server software, for example the operating system, cPanel and services like Apache and MySQL as and when necessary.
Which dedicated server should I choose?
Our dedicated server configurations are specially adapted to suit a wide range of professional uses. Depending on your needs, you can opt for more RAM, more storage space, or a faster processor.
What does the delivery time refer to?
The delivery time is the time it takes for your server to be provided to you. This time period starts once you have paid for your order. It is given as an estimate, and is not a contractual guarantee. Please note that we work hard to deliver products as quickly as possible.

What is an SSL Certificate all about?
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) might sound complex, but it's actually not. When you purchase SSL Certificate options, no matter which one you choose, it encrypts the communication between you and your site visitors so no-one else can eavesdrop or steal information. It also verifies your website’s identity to make sure it’s legitimate.
What is TLS?
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is an updated version of SSL. We sell TLS, but most people still call it SSL because that’s the term everyone knows. TLS is a little more secure, so businesses like banks will insist on it, but for most websites it doesn’t make much of a difference. Our Certificates are compatible with both SSL and TLS protocols.
Who needs SSL?
Because Google lists websites that aren’t encrypted by SSLs as “Not secure”, and ranks them lower than sites that are protected, every site owner needs one. SSL Certificates increase SEO, protect your customers, and let them know they can trust your platform.
How do I install my SSL Certificate?
When your SSL Certificate is issued, we’ll send you a Welcome email with easy instructions. After activation, the timescale for complete setup will depend on the type of Validation level you choose i.e. it varies between 10 minutes and 10 days for the Certificate Authority to perform checks.
How will people know my website is protected?
When people type your site’s domain name into their browser, the encryption confirmation will be a visible padlock and ‘https://’. You’ll also get a Site Seal to put on your website. If you want even more customer trust, OV and EV SSL Certificates verify your company is legit, not just your domain name.
